Patchouli - (Pogostemon Cablin) back

Patchouli is a herbaceous shrub. Patchouli has always played a large part in traditional Indian, Chinese and Japanese medicines. It was the remedy against venomous snake. In India it is believed that the scent of Patchouli brings money and wealth.

The essential oil: The oil is steam distilled from the young leaves and shoots. It is a transparent liquid and is yellow - brown or greenish brown. The principal constituents are Patchoulol (upto to 50%), Sesquiterpenes, Patchouli camphor.

Properties: Decongestion , promotes circulation
Regenerating tissue, prevents putrefaction, healing
Stimulates digestive
Anti-inflammatory
Anti-infective and antiseptic
Repels insects

Directions: circulatory problems, internal and external hemorrhoids, varicose veins, cellulite, water retention
skin problems: acne, eczema, seborrheic dermatitis and allergic inflammation, parasitic, fungal infection, impetigo, Scars, wrinkles, dry skin, scars, oily skin
Intestinal infections

External Use:Diluted in vegetable oil for massage.
Skin Care: applications on irritations. Oil Bath "dry skin": 4 drops Chamomile EO: + 4 drops Palmarosa EO + 2 drops Patchouli EO. Add to this mix a tablespoon of Carrier oil, then pour the mixture into the bath water. Specalties: Caution: This oil is invigorating when used at low doses, but sedative at high doses

Caution: Keep out of reach of children. Some oils are prohibited to pregnant women and children. Keep away from flame.
