Cedar Wood - (Cedrus deodora)
Cedrus, or true Cedar, is a genus of four species of evergreen coniferous, hardy and long-lived trees.
The needles of the true Cedars form in bunches. Cedars are the trees most metioned on the Bible, and symbolises all things that are fertile and abundant.
In 1698 AD, Nicolas Lemery mentioned its therapeutic properties, describing it as a urinary and pulmonary antiseptic.
The essential oil: The oil is steam distilled from the wood itself. It is like a syrup, yellowish and very balsamic.
It has a turpentine scent, but one which is sweeter, some what similar to Sandalwood.
The principal constituents are terpenic hydrocarbons, little cedrol, sesquiterpenes.

External Use: Use as massage oil for circulation and lymph drainage, diluted in a vegetable oil and synergy with other oils. Use as a mask or in addition to a shampoo for hair care and scalp.

Cellulite: Fennel, Lemongrass, Lemon, Lavender.
Scalp care: Lavender.
Anti-mosquito: Geranium, Lemon grass.
Specialties: Not recommended for pregnant women and young children. Possibility of skin irritation if applied pure. Use over short period.
