Citronella - (Cymbopogon nardus)
Citronella belongs to the same family of aromatic oil rich tropical grasses as Lemongrass and Palmarose.
The essential oil: This is distilled from the leaves, and is yellow to dark brown with a very strong aromatic lemony smell.
The principal constituents are citronellol (30 - 50%) and geraniol, with traces of citral and various terpenes.

External Use: Mosquito bites: Local application of 1 or 2 drops.
Mosquito repellent: Use on exposed parts and for diffusion.
Rheumatism, tendinitis and arthritis: massage, diluted in vegetable oil.
Synergies: Mosquito repellent Cedarwood, Geranium.
Mosquito bites: Lavender, Peppermint, Rheumatism, tendonitis
Arthritis: Eucalyptus, Juniper Berry
